Front Axle Pivot Cracked

Hi Guys,

Yesterday after bush-hogging my pasture I noticed some hydraulic fluid dripping off the bottom of my front differential.
Upon further investigation I found that the pivot/holder housing had cracked all the way around, causing it to leak fluid.
This housing mounts to the front of the differential.

I just ordered a new housing with new o-rings.

I'm just curious if anyone has even done this job before?
It looks pretty straight forward.

I'll try to get a picture this weekend, the tractor is 18 miles from me at the moment.
It is cracked around the pivot housing that is bolted to the front of the differential with 4 bolts.
The other end is bolted to a cross member with 2 bolts and this end has a grease fitting.

I really don't remember hitting a hole or anything harder than what is normal.

It is located at Fig 5-2-1 G-400 part #23 Holder/Pivot in the online parts manual.

Yep, I finally got my tractor back together last week.
I ran into a week delay on my parts shipping out.
It cost me approximately $150 for the pivot and a couple of o-rings.
Like you said, pretty simple job, glad it’s fixed.
