Rims... I agree with GolfGar, you need to check out insurance coverage, even your automobile if something happens during transit (enough coverage to protect in a total loss of vehicle, tractor /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif, and trailer). I help out neighbors with cleaning out stalls, discing their fields, smoothing drivaways etc., and have never charged... these are neighbors who will help at a moments notice on feeding my herd or helping out if needed. An acquantance would be a different story. If insurance is up to snuff, then offer a discount... it would be interesting to see if he accepts the deal... if he balks... he was looking for a free ride and trying to take advantage of a relationship. Gee... did he not even offer a couple of burgers and beer /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif??

Thank's Everyone for the usual good advice.
I do use the machine for hire (part time landscaper)
I like the idea of putting the ball back in his court to let him make the decision on weather to offer payment or not.
I would never expect someone to deliver and operate a peice of equipment without some form of compensation. It will be a good indication of his morals ( or lack of)
