Found an unexpected feature on my L4330

Purchased a used 2006 L4330 last week. Was cleaning it this morning and found the ashtray. :laughing: Reminds me of when airplanes used to have ashtrays in the arm rest.

Do the new models have a cigarette lighter and ashtray?

2012 M7040 has the lighter but no ash tray. suspect it is to allow owner to plug in fans etc.

Another thing that seems to be on its way to history. Bought new vehicle recently with no ashtray or cig lighter, but plenty of "12 volt accessory outlets".

One wonders if you plugged an old style cigarette lighter into the "12v accessory outlet" if it would stand the heat, ruin the wiring, set the car on fire or what....

Should be able to withstand the heat and current. There is an industry standard for the power point as they are now normally designated.

That is a for a "power point" But does the industry standard assume only electrical flow through the connector or does it also assume a possible cig lighter with 900 degree red hot temps ?
