Oh no, Goldenrod is a weed…..and it’s invasive (to farmers). To the naturalist, it looks pretty.
Can make you sneeze until your ribs break if your allergic.

I mean nothing towards the OP. The land is beautiful. I love the rolling hills and the old barn. I’d buy that in a heartbeat.

Goldenrod is good for the bees. That's a plus since CloverK is a beekeeper.

and no for sure nothing against it, I just think it is important to know what grow on your land and whether or not it is toxic to you or your animal (current or future) indeed a beautiful land.

Very nice looking land. Probably easier to maintain than mine. All my open meadows are full of sage brush. Slowly but surely - I'm removing the sage brush and replanting with native grasses.

Sounds like you are not using livestock, if you did you could get the meadow you are wanting.

Jrasband - you are correct. No livestock. My 80 acres is for my pleasure and the native wildlife. It's a safe haven for both upland birds and waterfowl. The local deer and elk find safety here also.

My ten acre lake is 80 feet deep and fought over by many types of waterfowl. A view off my front porch.
