Foton 404

Im looking at selling my MF 1260 and buying a Foton 404 with Frey FEL and cab. It looks like not a bad tractor but I dont know that much about them. A friend of mine owns one but has only had it for a few weeks. Does anyone have any exprience with these tractors or has owned one for some time? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The price is certainly in my price range and the tractor has good looks. Thanks

Excellent tractor. I mow with an 9' cycle bar mower at about 0.8 gallons per hour. If you've looked you have seen they are extremly rugged. My 404 has about 175 hrs. with only a throttle cable problem. I didn't get the shuttle shift which I regret.

No sychro transmisson is a bummer, but it would have to be an super deal for me to give up my 404.

Ive had one since Winter 05. Good tough tractor. Wist it were made in the USA but nothing in this category is. Mine has 600 hour plus definitely would buy again. I also have a 704.
