What bothers me the most is when someone puts a very large image into their post and then you have to scroll back and forth to read every post on the page because it makes the page so wide it won't fit on your screen.

What are the unspoken rules on these forums? I read the thread about bringing up old posts and kind'a wonder if there are anymore that are looked down upon other than the obvious. I would not want to ignorantly be breaking rules that I should know.

When you start a thread keep track of it and answer any question that responders ask to clarify or solve the problem. When your thread get's hijacked gently put it back on track unless you prefer the direction it's heading.

A lot of questions are answered differently in some areas so specify about where you are in the world.

Be brief and provide adequate information. Divide your long paragraphs into 3-4 sentences.

Provide useful information. If you know the an answer to an inquiry, reference your answer if possible: by your profession, owners manual, web link, personal experience, etc...
