Fork lift quick attatch

I have a M6040 with LA1153 FL. I am getting ready to purchase the forks and headache rack for moving some stuff around, then I may want to sell it. I have been quoted about $900. I guess i just unlatch my bucket and latch on the forks and frame and it is done. I guess what I am getting at it do you think I will want to keep the forks or will I have a hard time selling the kit when I am done with it?

Does anybody have the forks setup? How do you like it?

Also looking at the zero turn riding mowers, the gas models. Is there any input on them? I will be needing to purchase something within the next 2 months or so. Feel free to PM me too.

I have a GL3130 with QA forks and wouldn't be without my forks. I probably use it more than I use my bucket! I would say once you have used it, you'll be surprised on what else you can do with it.

I am saving my pennies for a quick attach now. Forks Rule! I have a home-made set now that I bolt in the bucket. They're a pain to put on, but they have saved me a lot of back pain. I can now load snowblowers, table saws, wood splitter, etc.. All by throwing a sheet of plywood over the forks & lifting to the tailgate level of my truck. Stuff I used to have to use 2 people for.

How do you like your m6040? I have been deciding to buy the m5040 or the m6040. The price differce is not that much.

I run an L3710 Kubota and when I bought my forks I asked the exact same questions you're asking. Now I wouldn't part with them for anything. I can actually do more with them than my bucket. Last summer I had to move about thirty trees I had cut down I started by using the bucket and chains. I moved 3 then decided to try the forks. I moved the rest without getting out of the seat.

If you don't have to buy new, the rental places sell them for ~$500. I bought a set of Volvo pallet forks and they were super heavy duty. They take about 1-2 minutes to attach/detach. You'll be glad you bought them.

I love me tractor, I went through the same delima as you and went with the M6040. It will spin the tires before it runs out of power. I pull a 8' disc, 72" box scraper, 12' springtooth, 3 blade ridger, all with no trouble.

Are the quick attatch forks interchangable with other brands? I may call around to the rentals and see if I can find a used one somewhere.

How bout the riding mowers? Anybody got any info for me?

Very nice looking tractor! I'll be ready for one of those in about 5 yrs. Just to satisfy my curiosity, what does the tractor alone cost? Ballpark?
