Forgotten magnet in Tuff Torque K57

I changed the oil in my k57 transaxle. Taking the old cap off was really difficult and I ended up destroying the cap. I did the oil change, put the new cap in, and put everything back together. I was really proud of myself until I saw I had forget to put in the magnet. I really don't want to take the transaxle back out and ruin another cap trying to pry it out.
My question is - will it really hurt to not use the magnet? I plan on changing the transaxle oil in about 250 hours.

Were there any metal filings on the magnet from the previous oil? If not you're probably good to wait until the next oil change.

I couldn't see any metal filings. The oil was little dark that came out. It had 101 hours on it when I drained it.
