Hi everyone...I have been reading and learning from this website for the last few months, I am finaly taking a few minutes to sign in...I am a professional forester enjoying small scale forestry....I just recently bought a Bolen Iseki G274 and have a few issues that I would like some advice. I will be posting pictures and the oil pressure issues on a separate message....Thank you for sharing all your expertise

here is my problem with the oil pressure light on my Bolen G274...sometime it will turn on and stay on for short or long time and sometime not at all...sometime when motor is cold sometime hot....you get it...It come on and off and it is not predictale....the previous owner said It has been like this for as long as he owned it (5-6 years) and not to weary about it ...but I do....I realy like my new tractor and would like to fix it right...some mechanic I talked to said it is probably just a bad sensor...I could just take a pressure gauge and check the actual pressure...anybody out there with some advice and what would be an acceptable oil pressure for this model...is this a common problem for this model....many tanx.

Welcome to TBN!!! You might try some of the other sections as others have suggested...

See if you can get a replacement sending unit for cheap and swap the old one out. Sometimes they get flaky. Or you might consider getting an actual oil gauge at NAPA and mount it somewhere that you can see it but it's not in the way. I hate those oil lights - much prefer an analog guage. Can you imagine buying a thermometer for your house that is just a light that stays off except on really hot days?
