ford baler needles

I have a Ford 509 square baler, chain broke, out of time, now have broken needles. Anyone know anywhere I can get needles for this baler? They are pot metal and welding will not fix them, unless I am mistaken.

I believe you will find a few folks here have welded the Ford needles more than once. You will need a good profile, though, to keep them on target. See if Niji chimes in, if not, look for his past posts on his Ford baler adventure.

Good luck. You might find they are the same as early JD needles.

Thanks for info, actually I think they are cast iron needles and spoke with a gentleman yesterday who thinks we could braze them. Also I was thinking of checking with JD .
