Ford 8N - hydraulic issue

Hi folks-

I recently bought an older Ford 8N. Everything works but it has a
few issues.

-The hydraulics only seem to work when the PTO is engaged & spinning.

-After about 30 minutes of mowing the motor slowly loses power and almost
stalls out. I have to dis-engage the PTO and wait for the motor to rev back
up for a bit and then it will continue on for awhile longer before it happens again.

If anyone has any insight as to what could be causing these issues, please chime in.

your 8N doesn't have Live hydraulics. there are kits availble though.
as for the stalling i would start with the fuel system. clean sediment bowl, check flow etc.
