Ford 6640 SLE Engine making Popping Sound out of Exhaust

Hoping someone can help me out here. I have a 1994 Ford 6640 that will idle fine but when I give it throttle it will start missing and making a popping noise from the exhaust. Smokes quite a lot too. White smoke and Black. So far I have had all the injectors tested and all were fine. Changed fuel filter and bled the system 3 times. Adjusted all the Valves and they did need adjustment and thought my problem was solved but it made no difference. What is strange when I accelerate the engine runs fine but when it levels out it starts missing and popping again. I would greatly appreciate any help here. This problem came on slowly and would just do this when first started and would clear up. Now it does it all the time. Thanks in Advance.

Check the compression. White smoke is unburned fuel. Possibly low compression due to a valve that's not seating correctly or is burned.

Timing might have slipped. Or the injection pump might be getting weak.

Injection pump was the problem. $1600 for a rebuild but it runs great now..Thanks for the help.

That's good you're back running. How many hp is that ford?
