ford 655c shutdown while running

I posted this once before but still cant find the problem. My 655c shuts off intermittently like someone shut the key off. When I go to restart there is no power to the key (verified with a test light and by the batt light/buzzer being off)But if you turn the hazard lights and directional signal on the battery light comes on along with the buzzer (but the machine won't turn over). I shut everything down and eventually power is restored to the key, the machine starts and it runs fine. I checked the wires and don't see anything loose but I am going to check the main engine harness connectors under the floor for corrosion but since the problem is intermittent, I really don't think its the problem. I also changed the start relay in the cab but I can pull that one out completely while running and the machine doesn't shut off. Anyone else have a similar problem or what about the fuel shut off selenoid on the injection pump? If that was going bad, would I loose power to the key?

There is one connection in the who;e circuit that is getting hot. Find it and you should be ok.

It does sound like corrosion, ( if it's not blowing a fuse).
Check all your fuse's, ( especially the fuel solenoid fuse) for corrosion on the fuse "ends'.
Sometimes the "tips' of the fuse get oxidized and cause intermittent problems.
Its normal for the starter relay to be pulled out and to not shut the machine down, its only used to "start" it.

Not sure about a "hot" connector, since it could well be an intermittent open. When its running some time, put a test light to the connections at your fuel shutoff solenoid. Then when it stops sometime, see if you get the same readings.
