Howdy, all. I have not been on the site for a while as we build our home in the Piney Woods of east Texas (picture attached). "The Beast" (1980 Ford 445 Backhoe) has been stationary for months now, but it is time to get 'er going again.
The steering is fouled in some manner. The wheels seem not to be connected to the steering wheel, and I can turn the steering wheel far too easily with no effect on the wheels. After much spinning of the steering wheel, the wheels will turn and the steering wheel will stop when the wheels reach their fully turned position.
Any assistance will be appreciated.
