Ford 4000 With Sherman Combo Transmission

So I got some new parts for the tractor today so I decided to pull the tarp and install a few of them. I was playing with the steering wheel when I saw the Sherman plate on it. Was wondering if this is the shifter for the step up or step down. Or maybe it’s a steering wheel off a 8N or 9N? Thanks

Basically what I was asking if it was the shifter. Although I can’t seem to get it to pop out to go into standard gears. Only the high and low gears.

I have seen this before when a previous owner never used the middle range and the tractor spent time sitting outside.

Since you have it moving forward / backward, move the shifter to the half way position. Now pull outward while rocking it slightly back and forth. Try spraying some penetrating oil around where the shifter goes through the casting before you start. It should move out and to the rear for the middle or straight range.

You have to pull out on the handle to get it to standard gears
