Same here. Too much to do and not enough time to do it. A broke down tractor is just the icing on the cake.
I don't have the knowledge to rebuild the pump, I would have to have somebody else do it. My local shop said they would remove it and send it to somewhere in Tennessee to rebuild it. Anybody know of a good injection pump shop? And how hard is it re-install? Does it have to be timed a certain way?

Has to be timed, if you don't know how let someone else do it or get them to help you it will save you a lot of trouble

My shop said a couple hours labor at $60 an hour to remove and re-install. Then $500-$800 to have it sent off and rebuilt.

Wondering if the shutoff bracket on top of pump might have slipped on shaft going into pump. Bracket has an oblong hole that matches shaft. If nut loosens, bracket will rotate back further on shaft when you pull kill cable and won't turn on all the way when pushed in.
Could also be shaft has come out of plate in top of pump, but since you had top off, you probably aligned when put together.
Last thing, but uncommon, vane primer in back of pump broken. You can take off four bolts and check.

I got a closer look at mine today and the shaft will only spin about half way and then I can hear it bind

Would the vane primer at the back of the pump be the "head"? The end facing towards the operator? When the three lines come off that feed the injectors? I have fuel everywhere except that location.

There is the pump and the tag with the numbers. Can I try just taking loose the four small bolts there to the left and see what's going on?
