Ford 3610 diesel run problem

Ford diesel (1982 3610) starts fast, sounds good, slows, sometimes picks back up a little, but always stops after few seconds running. New injectors. Fuel lines to the pump clear. Injector pump worn out or partially plugged? If latter, how do you purge? Other things to check?

good fuel flow thru filter?

any smoke at death?

will it restart immediately?

Leakoff line claear.
No smoke at death.
Good flow through filter.
Restarts immediately.
Blew out pump as best I could. Seemed to help a little, but still same problem. Dies slow death after starting great.

Have you checked filter(parts key #7) in inj pump? Is the fitting in inj pump that return line attaches UNPLUGGED?

Filter was plugged. Cleaned and reinstalled. Too late now (dark here), but will try tomorrow to start. Thank you.
