As the title states, it's leaking hydraulic fluid from the shaft that the clutch pedal actuates. I can't find anywhere in my factory manual that covers this. What I'm looking for is information on what parts I need and how to do the repair. Its a 1974 3000 gas 8 speed.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I assume you mean the clutch and brake cross shaft that goes through the rear center housing.
Not uncommon for the bushings to get worn and/or the seals to go bad and leak.
I have seen badly worn shafts too.
Not a big deal to fix. Drain the oil out of the rear end, remove the step plates and all brake and clutch linkage. Then you can remove the shaft to renew the bushings and or seals.
Pretty obvious what needs to be done once you get your wrenches out and get started.

Exactly the way ultraD said. I just did mine on my 4000 a month ago. The clutch/break bushings were so worn the pedals were flopping around. The cross shaft (expensive part) and seals were ruined. Surprisingly, the bushings in the trans were good. Almost everything was cheap from the dealer or online. I ended up making the cross shaft, its only 1-1/8 dia. CRS. I wish I would've made it 3/16" longer between the snap rings. I was only able to put one dust cover gasket on, so I put it on the clutch side.
