Ford 2600 1979 tractors

My name is Sims F. Benson,Sr.,and I live in the great state of Georgia. I have been driving Ford 2600 tractors for about 33 years. They are great for keeping up our larger than normal yard, and keeping 32 acres in order.

Will a marine battery that cranks a 4 cyclinder gas engine in a boat be ok to crank a 3 cylinder gas engine in a tractor?

match the cca of the bats in question.

in general many marine batteries are deep cycle style that are designed to run down and be recharged without damage.. a tractor battery application is generally a HD battery, high CCA, and thick plates to help survive vibration.

mind you the 3 cyl in a 2600 is not a huge engine.. average truck battery likely make it spin over.
