You should really have a FORD manual for your 1720. It has a 2 stage dry clutch.

There is a FORD OEM (copy) manual available from ...themotorbookstore.com.... $41.95

If you are you referring to the I&T Shop Service Ford Shop Manual (# FO-46)....I have that.

Unfortunately & challenging for me, my reading/comprehension ability can be difficult at times......just as I inferred in Post #4, about the three drain plugs - it was in my book, I just couldn't/didn't see or read it correctly until RickB pointed it out.

Nevertheless, THANKS for the suggestion, Fried1765!

The Ford 1720 tractor utilized both a single and double clutch on this model.

Yep, makes good sense. Thanks for the reminder, RickB! :drink: BarnieTrk

Fellas,
The hydraulic fluid and filter change went fine. While I was at it, I also changed the motor oil and filter.

Thanks again for everyone's input!!

Just wanted to follow up --- As I had hoped, the squealling that occurred when I actuated the front bucket controls has since stopped since the hydraulic fluid / filter change. Now when I operate the levers, things move without all the squealling! NICE!

Thanks again for everyone's input and help!:dance1:
