Thanks six I appreciate the input!
Thanks JC,
I could have put the seal in, but while I was there I had them run the piston head and piston through some parts cleaner. Seal looked very tight so the volunteered to to put in the seal for me. The looked at the cylinder wall and commented that I had just honed it. Nope. They were surprised how clean it was. I paid 8600.00 for this back in 2004. Thought I paid to much until I found out how much the loader alone was worth. I also got a finish mower (now dead), disc, front blade (never used it so if you want to buy it I will sell it to you, and a rear blade used and abused but still weldable!
Mine had 600 hours on it. So it was almost like new. Three other guys were looking at the same time I was and nobody was talking down price. Only issue was the three implements. He wanted two hundred dollars each. The other two guys didn't want to buy them however he wasn't going to sell the tractor without them being sold. When the other two left I offered him a one price for everything. The original price was $10g I checked with Olathe New Holland and they said they wouldn't put it on their lot for lesson than10g. Guess he got scared when The other two guys walked off. I lived about 2 1/2 miles from where he was selling the tractor. I informed him I wouldn't buy the tractor if he didn't let me drive it home. He was selling it on a lot that had a condemned house on it. He was trying to get rid of all his equipment. I didn't want it left unattended overnight. He finally agreed when I allowed him to take the key with him until I paid for it. LOL.Yup, That seal is one time deal, specially orientation of front lip, any mistake and you're buying another seal. Thanks for the offer. If you look at my signature I have all you need to get rid off. Front blade is what I do not have but I have a quick attach (Skid steer) type on my kubota and no loader on my 1700. You did well as far as price with loader. I bought my rig minus loader for $3100 and 900 hrs.
JC,
