Hello everybody, I have a ford 1700 and I would like to know where you have to fill up your oil level at the rear or is it 1 part from the oil level in the gearbox? I'm sorry for my bad english, I just want to know where you have to fill up the oil. Thanks a lot !!!!!

The transmission and rear end share a common resovoir (approx. 23 quart capacity), checked and filled on top of the transmission.

There should be a dipstick attached to the plug. Mine is located on the right (top) side of the transmission just behind the shift lever.

Don't screw the plug in to check the level, just set it on the top of the hole and the level should not extend above the knurled surface on the dipstick.

Good luck.
