Ford 1600 Will not start

I have a Ford 1600 that I recently purchased. It ran great the other day for about 2 hours I then parked it and turned it off. I went back a while later and it will not start. When I the key the oil indicator lights come on but nothing else and it will not start. There is no sound at all. I thought it might be a discharged battery but when I tried jumping it still nothing.

There is a new alternator and battery on the tractor. The guy who sold it to me said he had troubles getting it to keep a charge.

Any ideas?

Hello and welcome
Have you checked the safety switches?
Seat switch
Clutch switch
PTO switch
Shift lever in neutral
Battery voltage
These are some things to check.

if it is a twin stick tranny check the range lever.

Check the wire coming out of the back of the transmission cover. Goes to trans safety start switch.
