I have a 1980 Ford 1100 diesel 2wd compact tractor. I started it up the other day to move and left it to warm up. When I came back to it it was leaking engine oil from the front of motor down onto front axle and dripped to ground. I haven't dug into it yet but was hoping someone here would point to what might be leaking.

I guess anything near the front of the engine could be leaking. Clean it up the best you can, start the engine and try to see where the oil comes from. It may be coming from the front seal on the crankshaft or near the front of the oil pan. A light dusting of talcum powder may help you track it.

Do you know anywhere to download a tech manual for the Shibaura LEK752C 2-cyl diesel?

I have seen several on eBay.

It appears the oil was coming out the overflow tube from the timing cover plate on the upper left side.
