foot throttle

The subject of foot throttles on the imported yannies came up in the other post about engines. With that in mind, which imported models have a factory foot throttle and which ones don't?

1500D (old green) - no
1600- no
1610- yes
1510D- yes
1720D- yes
1900- yes
2000- yes
2000A- yes
2420D- yes
2500- yes
3000-yes

Every Yanmar I have handled had a foot throttle except one YM1300D. It had the brackets but no throttle.

I have never used the foot throttle. Does anyone know a good reason to use it?

Yes, I use it for a temporary boost of power when I need it, also use it on the highway, I feel safer that way, take my foot off tractor slows down before braking.

I use it when moving dirt with a lot of forward and backing motion so the engine won't be revving high when I shift.

Yipes.... do i hav ethe only 1700 with no foot throttle? Mine is the 'green' kind.

I would have loved a foot throttle... My NH has one.
