I have a Yanmar YM220. I'm looking for a folding ROPS system so I can fit my tractor in my garage. Does anyone know where I can get a folding ROPS for my YM220?

Thanks

Try the search feature. I remember a thread that had some places that made custom ROPS.

I tried this without any luck.

It may be easier to get a good photo and dimensions of a folding ROPS and have a welding shop fabricate a folding hinge for your ROPS.

My YM220 is an American import tractor (not grey market). So, it already has a stationary ROPS system on it. The sticker on the ROPS states "220/226"; so, I figure that it fits the YM220 and YM226.

Like he said. A hinge added to yours would not be too hard. The liability to the installer would be more of a problem than the actual prodject. It would be much cheaper than a complete new ROPS. 4 pieces of plate , some drilling and welding and you would be on the road. You could even take it off the tractor to make it easier and cheaper to do. Remember " measure twice, cut once. "

I have the factory rollbar on my 226, and indeed that is one tall rollbar. In order to fit in my garage I ended up making it 3 inch shorter to fit inside, but due to the trappazoid shape had to cut it in 3 different places and removed some material from each "leg "and spliced a piece in the top. now it looks just like the original, just 3 inch shorter.Like was said before, putting a hinge on each side is pretty easy to do also.
pretty sturdy set up, tubing is 2 inch with quarter inch wall, weights probably 100 lbs. I would consider the liability issue after modification. If I ever sell mine, I plan on removing the rollbar before sale.
Thanks
Pete
