Fold up Trailer ramps.

Does anyone out there have fold up trailer ramps?

I have the kind that slide in the side and am getting very tired of lugging them everytime I have to load and unload my tractor.

I want to convert them to fold up ramps with some type of helper spring. Does any one have some pics of a setup like this?

Anyone have any suggestions or things to watch out for?

If I can see a couple of setups I might be able to redesign my existing ramps to make them work.

Heard that! Luckily I don't have to load it much anymore. The first time I used them with the tractor they bent. Had them straightend and angle iron welded for reinforcement. That did the trick but...Ugg....they weight 100# each possibly more.

A buddy of mine has a equip trailer with beefy fold up ramps, they are not bad to flip up/down. I haven't seen one with a spring/torsion assist. Doesn't mean they don't make one.

Bud, who delivered my NH, had springs on the ramps to assist in lifting them, they were very stout springs.
This is maybe another option, depending on how much the ramps weigh

I have an electric hydraulic tilt bed and wouldn't go to handling ramps for any amount of money now. I flip two levers to release the bed at the front, push one button and up it goes. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Another button lowers it and I flip the two levers back to secure it and off I go. No muss, no fuss, no dragging or lugging heavy ramps. Once you get one like this you'll never go back. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
