Fantastic stuff. I just sprayed the underside of my car trailer last week since it was rusting. I've also sprayed the underside of my truck with it...messy but a very effective rust preventative. I'm on my third gallon since discovering the stuff about 5 years ago..

I've only used it on some 3 point hitch attachment pins on a single bottom plow. The plow gets used in the spring, then sits around outside waiting for a year. Sometimes, I touch-up the pins with another squirt or two, just because it seems like I should. ;) No rust. Amazing stuff!!

I'm using Fluid Film as well. The dealer gave me a free can a few years ago and I have been buying it ever since. Bought a gallon around Christmas. :D

Lanolin is the "active" ingredient. Its seems to last a long time and does not really collect dust. I use it all over the place, on shovels, box blade teeth, 3PH ball joints, PTO shaft, anything metal.

I globbed some about half way down the shovel. This stuff somehow spread UP. It holds up in the rain real well. I sprayed my box blade teeth which are leaning against a tree. It clean up the rust and there is not any new stuff on the teeth which have been sitting for a few months. The only problem I have is with the 1 gallon can is the stuff is very thick. I bought a pump up sprayer in the garden section which kinda works. Not wll but it works. It does not so much as spray as spew because the Fluid Film is so thick. But that is the fault of the sprayer not Fluid Film.

Its great stuff.

Dan

I bought 2 gal. of the fluid film last week and tried some on my tractor that had some corrision. This stuff is pretty neat, took the corrision off the bolts and left a nice film.I agree it is thick,I put mine on with a small paint brush.I am going to try a airless sprayer next to apply it to the brush hog and some other things.coobie

Cobbie,

What kind of airless sprayer are you going to use?

I looked at some sprayers in the big box store and was not sure if they would work so I just used the garden sprayer as well as a rag.

I use one of those air siphon sprayers like they sell for engine cleaning, works very well. I do sometimes thin the Fluid Film with any solvent I happen to have on hand like mineral spirits, MEK, or paint thinner. I sometimes even cut it with bulk WD40 I also buy by the gallon;)
