Fluid choices for CH20HST?

The shop manual for my CK30hst suggests that squelling hydralics can be caused by the wrong weight oil. Especially if noticed right after an oil change. As DrewL stated, the oil is not exotic but there are different weight oils. When you just look for a universal oil, the weight isn't always marked on the container. Also, different companies add there own blend of additives for corrosion, anti-foaming, etc. I'd try to use what the tractor calls for or if you have an oil distributor in the area, they usually can cross reference their brand of oils to another brand to match specifications.

Warren AW48 or AW68 are good, resonably priced fluids that work well in Kioti. Antifoaming agents are good to have as foaming fluids do not lubricate well. Just make sure that whatever fluid you buy has them. Making sure you keep the level between the marks on the stick can help avoid the squealing you're getting.
Swing boom O-rings are notoriously overtightened and usually need to be replaced. It's an easy job. Just turn the boom to the opposite side, remove the fitting, replace the O-ring making sure you don't tighten it too tight to begin with.

The problem you are have with your Kioti backhoe is a very well known problem and Kioti is well aware of that problem.
You can tighten those allen bolts as much as you want and will not do a thing.
The o-ring has already been blown out.
It will have to go back to the dealer, It is ALL covered under warranty.

Hmm... given that the dealer isn't being as helpful as I'd hoped, it might be nice to check in with Kioti/Daedong USA. Since their web site gives only e-mail and fax contact info, I sent an e-mail and got no response. Anyone here know if they're willing to be phoned? Otherwise, I'll just tangle it up with the dealer.
