Are you asking about the rubber mat? Or is it the metal frame floorboard?

If it is the rubber mat then a lot of folks have used truck bed liner (think LineX) and brush it on. Harbor Freight has it. There are other choices as well.

I am talking about the metal frame, a salt water environment is eating the metal. Thanks, john

Ohh...that a tough one. A couple of choices.

>Ask the dealer about the whereabouts of a tractor boneyard. He/She might have a source for junked tractors for parts.

>Go to a welding shop and ask how much it would be to fabricate a floorboard. They should have a metal bending brake and be able to make one or direct you to one.

>A member on TBN, 4shorts, is excellent at fabrication and may have some good advice. You may want to send a personal message to him. (Who knows, he may show up on this thread.)

Thanks for the reply. There is a metal fabrication shop in Kodiak, I will see if they can build one for me. John

Have it properly primed and coat it all over with bed liner before installation, says another guy that lives in a salt bath.

Thanks, I tried restoring the existing one using bedliner but I was a little late. If I can build a new one, I will for sure treat it.

Have you priced a new one from Kubota? It may be cheaper than you think. If the floorboard is similar to my B2620,and I think it is,there will be quite a bit involved in making one from scratch, depending on how close you want it to match the original.

I just found one from Messick's. $101 plus $65 to ship to Alaska. They ordered it directly from Kubota. Comes in a right and left hand side. I only ordered the left. I found a used one on Kansas for $75. John

It's a no brainer, you can't get much metal fabrication done for that kind of money and the factory part will always fit and look better.
