I have a 3520 with a 300 CX loader. How do you make it float, the owners manual is useless. Thanks.

Quickly push the loader control stick all the way forward - past the detent.

To test procedure - lift the bucket up a couple of feet. If you push forward enough the bucket will fall to the ground, fairly quickly, and just sit there. If not far enough the bucket will go down more slowly , touch the ground and then lift the front wheels off the ground.

Do a search on it they explain how to do it very well for newby's in a few threads here on TBN. Basically just slap the loader lever forward into a detent position, try it with the tractor off first.:)

In my 790 w a 300 loader you just push the valve control forward past a detent.

Sorry about my ignorance, but what is detent?

It is just a spot where you will feel some resistance to the valve handle going forward. When you push past that resistance it is in float.

Test with tractor off. The "detent" is like a little "speed bump" in the travel of the control stick. As you push forward it will feel like end of travel is reached. Give further push and it will pass the "bump" and that is "Float" position
