Float action on rear remotes

Ill check it out. For some reason I remember reading somewhere this was true - I think it was in the parts book for Bobcat. I vaguely remember when working on the correct part number for the first set.

If Bobcat does not offer it, go to Kioti and get the kit.

I have personally installed a top & tilt set on a Kioti CK27 that has the float function with the 2nd set of rear remotes which was installed at his request. Davrow who is a TBN member.

Hopefully he will look in and confirm this for you. Here is a picture of a guys CK35 with the float function. This does exist.

Float option would have to be purchased through Kioti. Doesn't exisit in Bobcats's parts system. Be sure to check price difference between just the valve or complete 2nd valve kit. These rear remote valves are less expensive buying the kit including linkage tube lines than just the replacement valve. Not sur if Kioti is priced similar.

Seeing is believing.:thumbsup: Thanks, Brian. I recall you mentioning this last March when we spoke about top 'n tilt. I'm wondering if Kioti still offers this for the CK. When I asked my dealer a few months ago about a floating rear remote for my NX4510HST, he said that Kioti doesn't offer it on any of its tractors. I said I'd heard that they had it for the CK series. He said nope. Keith, let us know what you find if you investigate further. It's worth pursuing, IMO.

Here is my "installed by my Kioti dealer using Kioti parts" lever setup on my Kioti CK27 (new early this year):

Currently the backhoe is mounted. The A/B lever has a detent in B, so that lever is pushed forward (to B) and it stays there - allowing all the backhoe valves to have fluid flowing to them (and from there to tank). Putting that lever in B with no attachments or backhoe would deadhead the hydraulics.

The C/D lever (2nd remote) has the float (push past D). Depending on specific need it allows an attachment to rise and fall with the terrain. Basically it opens a fluid path between the sides of a double-acting cylinder so fluid can freely flow between the two sides.

Personally I imagine myself mostly using the float on the top link, although I can picture instances where it might be used on the side link.

Could you provide the part number(s) for that valve? I got the same story that Kioti does not offer float valves for any tractor. If they do, there is a big disconnect between them and at least some of their dealers. It is a feature that is important to me as I make a tractor selection.

However I do have a question on using a single port on my current unit.

My sickle mower has a cylinder with one input (single acting I believe) with a vent on the other end.

To get it to lower under its one weight I need to bleed back the cylinder and have no pressure on it during operation. If I have it plugged into port A with nothing in port B, can I just move the lever towards B (dead heading) to get A to bleed down? In the Bobcat manual it indicated that the opposite position during operation is a return, so I am wondering if moving towards B would allow pressure to be released on the A line.

I think you would just turn the lever off and it will bleed back on its own.

Bobcat Manual indicates in Neutral (center position between A and B) there is NO flow. It hold pressure at whatever it is in both lines.

Yes you can dead head the pump and get it to come down, or just turn the tractor off and let it down with no ill side affects. The Kioti parts will fit, the only question is, is the float position valve still available? My guess is yes, simply because they had stock and that valve was not a big seller. Double check with MI about their return policy, I would bet that you can order, receive and see that it is the float function set and be done with it. But if not, they should take it back. See if they will check for you when it comes in. that way if it is not a float function valve, they can just keep it and you don't have to pay the shipping costs.

Talk to them about it and what you want, all they can say is no they won't help you out, but if the answer is yes, then you are all set. They have the hose kit to run up front also, that way you can give them some more business. A win win for everyone.
