I understand that a deck over may be more convenient. but......
An equipment style with fenders, has a lower center of gravity, and is thus less likely to roll or tip.

My deckover does have a foot & a half higher center of gravity I expect. I can feel it at times, but pulling a tractor double the weight on the taller trailer isnt really much worse. Proper balancing of the load for tongue weight makes a lot more difference in how things pull.

The trailer looks narrow in the photos. I've looked at a PJ and a Big Tex with drive over fenders and both were pretty nice.
