Flat top pistons

Hello,
I have a FX24D tractor and I am in process of rebuilding the engine.
During my research for replacement pistons part # 129157-22090 different vendors show flat top pistons and bowl chamber design pistons with the same part number.

My question is are the chamber design pistons a upgrade to the flat tops?

The tractor is around 40 years old and I was wondering if this was a upgraded design.

Also look at Fredricks. Out of all the resellers, this company has connections right in Yanmar USA. They have restored several dozen FX24 machines.

Otherwise, you are taking chances of parts suppliers who are grabbing pistons that would fit, but not necessarily perform at peak performance nor Hp with the dished out top of the head. Contact one of the top two parts suppliers and re builders in the links I just posted.
