On My John Deere 455D Bulldozer on the right side I have to replace the 2 hydraulic lines that go from the control valve to the bucket cylinder. The metal lines behind the cover got pinched and now leak. Rather large lines that connect the flarenuts are approx. 1 1/16" and 1 3/16". Would you normally use flarenut wrenches for this or can I use adjustable wrenches, or open end wrenches. I have 2 adjustable wrenches big enough to do the job. Anything else I would have to go out and purchase. Thanks, Frank

If it were me I would use your adjustable wrench but make sure its tight.

Us the adjustables if they will get in there. If not, might consider crowfoot wrenches.

There you go. Good thinking.I would say this would be a first for use of those tools.

Often you will find that when dealing with hydraulic fittings normal wrenches or adjustables are too thick. That is why I have a set of open-end thin wrenches. I know that you can get them up to 2-9/16" or 65mm.
