Forks fixed or adjustable

Just wanted peoples opinions on their preference and why. I have adjustable forks on my 3PH and don't adjust them that often. A pallet jack is not adjustable and there are a bazillion of those around. Just curious.:anyone:

I guess it depends on what you are lifting. I work in the Maintenance dept. at my work and we are adjusting the forks our lift truck all the time to pick stuff up. It depends on width of the object you are lifting.

pallet jacks are made to pick up one thing: pallets. I'll bet I use my 3 point forks less than 25% of the time to pick up pallets. I also move my forks quite often.

I would be lost if I could not adjust the width of my forks.

Adjustable fixed forks not floating forks. Many more uses for these including moving stumps and odd shaped items. I should add sometimes you need them to be adjustable to initially palletize materials. Pallets are easy with fixed forks but most of us do all sorts of things with adjustable forks.
