I am to the point on this project to start running the hydraulic hoses.
I have a few questions if you would be so kind.

Do suction hoses need to be non collapsable? I have some good 1" hose here that has a high heat rating and is tough stuff. It should work for the return, what about the suction side? I have seen the stuff with wire in it is this what i need here? Are these just hose clamped on?

I also need a few 90 degree fittings .5" & .75" from valve and for the cylinder. I looked around online and was not sure what i really needed. Are these specialty items or can i buy them at the hardware store?

Thanks for all your help!

Yes, spiral wired too, to allow bends with out kinking....

Yes, have to be air tight

Fittings on high pressure side, have to be high pressure rated, usually you get them from a hydraulic shop or online. For those high pressure fittings, stay away from casted iron fittings and brass fittings...

I've had good luck with Surplus Center online. They have good prices on hydraulic fittings.

I aggree, you can't beat Surplus Center online for fittings of all types and sizes.
My only issue with them is that they are slow getting things out the door. I placed
orders with Surplus Center, Northern and Agri supply all on the same day. I received my items from both Northern and Agri and Surplus Center was just getting around to releasing my order to UPS at that point. But yes they do have great selection and competive pricing.

regards, Phil C.

I had always had great service from Surplus Center until my last order. I could order on a weekend and have the parts on Thursday or Friday. My last order wasn't even filled until Wednesday. A little disappointed not to have them for the weekend.
