First welding class tonight

i think a lot of it depends on the individual, some can see better with darker shades and some can not. i don't do a lot of welding at work, but i do some.i have 2 helmets, one i use for stick or mig and the other for tig. my biggestproblem is for close work i need glasses, if i wear the glasses and get a little to far away i can't see heck, if i leave the glasses off and get in close everythig is blured/w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif i give any pro or good welder a giant tip of the hat, ain't as easy as it looks. wait till the first time u try to tig or mig and it sounds and looks like hell, till u remember u forgot to turn on the gas/w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif

Which of the ebay helmets did you get. There's alot of em and I'm not sure which, if any, of the bargins helmets are any good.
