Remember when things were made in Japan when they were cheep labor? Same thing now in China. When the Chinese people wake up & start demanding higher wages. AlL the manufactures will find another country with cheep labor & move operations there. Who knows where that will be? MabE IRAQ!!!!!!!

( Well,,,,,the commas,,,,,represent pauses, one for a slight pause,,,,,,,and,,,,,,hum,,,,,,lets see,,,,,,,,many for longer pauses,,,,a sentence is supposed to also reflect the way you are talking if possible,,,,,,,,,,,now you know. )

Your self prescribed use of the comma is way wrong. It is the period (.) that is used for pauses in dialogue. Your complex grammatical skills make your love for Jinma a little easier to understand. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I like beer too. It makes me a jolly good fella - Tom T. Hall. I seen him atleast a half a dozen times at a little festival here in Ohio called Jamboree in the Hills. Your not the only one here who has been called a redneck.

I talked quite a bit with the head mechanic at my local Massey dealer, asking hime what he thought about the various brands, import and domestic, since he works on everything. He knew I was looking at used machines and was quite open. Spoke very highly of Yanmars, said he hardly ever sees one break. Shibauras (well, the Ford-NH versions) he said were hard to get parts for the older ones. Said they seemed to be able to get parts for Yanmars (although we did not specifically address gray market models).

A couple folks said nice things about Cowlitz Tractors. I talked with Paula at Cowlitz on the phone & she seemed very open and helpful with the questions I asked. I visited Tractor Ernie, who is only about 28 miles from my place and he seemed to have good equipment and seemed like a good guy. I would certainly consider dealing with either of these.

Be careful with "rebuilt, zero time" gray market tractors, as the quality of the work seems to vary greatly from decent jobs to slam a few parts together to make it run. Thoroughly check out any dealer who sells rebuilts, talking to customers or asking here on the net.

Another perspective: I had some knowledgeable old timers suggest that I look for an older domestic market 2WD tractor. Cheaper to buy, more power, can still get parts for most of them. The MF 135 in a diesel was highly recommended.

I ended up with a Yanmar 180D; it was a buy I couldn't pass up. Compared to my Kubota which I am selling, it appears to be a higher quality tractor and they were both built in 1983. Don't have much time on it yet, but it runs quieter and the gears, pto engagement and 4wd engagement all go smoother and easier.

Good luck in your search!
