:D :D "I had hoped for results like I got, but don't know how I got them". Usually luck is more than a fair trade for experience. Since the key to most BB use is the length of the top link, I'm guessing that it just happened to be set right for what you wanted to do. I've been lucky like that a few times too, but actually enjoy playing with the BB even when I have to work with it a bit more. Every time I use it, I learn a little more.

A little update on the 48”/CC Yanmar 24 HP Setup.

I have the unfortunate pleasure of having a lot of Locus Trees on my land and in turn a lot more surface roots than I thought possible to disrupt the flow of the BB.
As you may suspect these Roots cause havoc with the little Tractor and causes a lot of stopping without notice so to speak.
How I handle it is use the BH first to scrape through the area and then change over to the box blade to do the grading work and pickup of the left over roots; time consuming yes but I am retired, for now, and it works out OK.

Other than that the 48” BB is working out OK for the little tractor and it does the job OK.

I hate Locust trees.
Good luck dealing with them, taking your time as you mention can prevent tearing up the equipment.
