Tractor
Yanmar SA424
Just took ownership of my first tractor for my small 2 acre lot in Pennsylvania - a Yanmar SA424. Only have the FEL and also got a posthole digger which I used to build a chicken run for my Fiancé but took it off when I was finished.

With nothing on the back, I am looking for a carrying cart of sorts that fits on the 3PH to carry tools and such. I have seen several iterations, the DIY with the CarryAll, the Titan Dump Box, and then the more expensive transport carts available in Europe.
I have searched YouTube and forums but have not seen this particular question asked. To save some money, can I not just use a 2" receiver like This and a 2" hitch cargo carrier like This?

If so, second question: how do you keep it from tilting when raising the 3PH? I would like it to stay level. My thought is the top link must be installed also level with the ground.

Thanks!

I’m not familiar with this particular tractor; but doesn’t it have a drawbar?

Hi, yes it does also have a drawbar.

If I'm understanding you, start with one of these:

CountyLine Carry All at Tractor Supply Co.

Generally in the sub $200 range at most farm and tractor type stores.

Add various bits of lumber, PVC pipe, angle iron and so on to meet your needs. At least a dozen threads here on different buildouts.

I misunderstood, I thought you wanted to hook up a cart.

Like Diggin it said; the tractor supply county line carryall is roughly $250 and I don’t think u would save much money trying to fabricate one given the cost of steel and welding rod.

I have one and find it very useful.

And yes the center link adjusts the level and your position control will ensure it does not go too high.

Thank you for the help. My concern with that is that the pins are up relatively high and would require it to be lifted just buzzing around the property. I thought maybe the 2" receiver and cargo carrier would sit a bit higher up.

Just to be clear, this is what I am talking about attaching.

Either one would work, but the type from TSC are far heavier duty.

With the receiver type, you will still have to lift the 3 point when moving. It will also be much looser in the mount, able to tilt / shift side to side at least a little bit.
