S--t, It is bright outside now and everything is white!
OK, it's only paper thin but still white.
A long long time ago I would have been thrilled but at my age playing in the snow is not an option.
Shucks I'll have to scrape my windows on the car.
We had 2 snows this month. 2 tenths early one morning and 1.5 inches a week later. Luckily it only stuck to the grass, every where else it melted as it landed.
A couple inches last night here too. All gone now. High today was only 34.
Hard to believe a couple weeks ago it was around 80 and muggy. Looks like we went straight from August to November skipping my 2 favorite months of the year.

Tell me about it
I got down to Mississippi from Virginia a month ago - had some projects that required warmth and was looking forward to the period when it's below 85°F and above 70°F, usually from mid September to November. I've a bunch of concrete work to do.
Buy NOOOO!! It was near 100° then high 90°'s (except for a day w/5 inches of rain) until Oct 10th. Now it's dropped down to the 60°'s!
We've already had our first good snowfall, little over a week ago. About 11" total. Still have a good bit of it on the ground, and was nearly 70F yesterday.
We had a record high for yesterday, 75deg. We are having an unbelievable, beautiful sunny week lasting through Sunday they say. All I know, it will be nasty as usual by Halloween.
You know - I'm with you 2Lane. As I age, ever so gracefully, winter is no longer such a fun time. I don't romp/play in the snow anymore - I plow or shovel it. The cold may nip at my nose but it also makes my poor old hands hurt. Its a lot more fun now to sit in my easy chair sipping a steaming cup of "laced" cocoa and LOOKING outside when its cold. Warm is much more friendly.
