Not quite all homemade but awesome none the less. Home smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, butter, mayo and avocado on jalapeno sour dough bread. Hopefully tomatoes out of the garden next weekend.

:licking: Thanks for this, never thought of using jalapeno sour dough bread . . . I don't think I have ever seen such for sale? Homemade? Sounds really good.

No red tomatoes yet either, but the potatoes, cucumber, zucchini, spaghetti squash taste great.

Sliced ripe tomatoes on a slice of bread with a layer of cooked bacon slices and topped with a slice of American (or other) cheese and toasted under a broiler until the cheese is melted and smothers the bacon...

I sure like sourdough bread but I, too, never heard of jalapeno sourdough bread.

True. An open faced toast / butter and homegrown tomato sandwich is elegance itself. Cheese is a great +1
