First BLTs of the season

Been getting home grown tomatoes for a month now. BLTs one of my favorites. Had em 3 times this season so far. On wheat bread , lightly toasted, Miracle Whip salad dressing or it ain’t worth eatin. Plenty of bacon. Every once in a while I’ll add a slice of cheese. I’m goin to the kitchen now.

With our cool summer so far my tomatoes only started coming on about a week ago. But there looks to be a good crop in its way.

Ya mine have been a little lagging also . . . but as of late weather has been our friend. :thumbsup:

I also like some of my wife's pickled red onions added to the mix.

Jstpssng . . . I do not care :laughing: . . . my wife will not let me get away with it more than MAYBE once a week . . .

I had to go to the kitchen and cook some bacon....mmmmmmm.

We have been having an issue growing tomatoes because of the blight. About the time the first tomatoes start turning red, the leaves turn black and die. We gave up so we didn't plant any this year but one plant grew on it's own. So, we have one plant....

If you have the space try planting in a different spot next year as far away from the old spot as you can. Destroy any diseased leaves/plants. Sulfur is a good fungicide, or there are more aggressive on the market. If I can't grow tomatoes I would rather not spend the time on a garden.
