Just think about this for a minute. The average forest owner only has a couple of large timber sales in his or her entire life time. So take your time and plan it well. Don't be afraid to have a forester come in and do a cruise(its the smart thing to do). A logger is in business to make money, so make sure you have a VERY WELL WRITTEN CONTRACT before any trees are cut. No contract no cutting.
