Fire Areas

Since I don't live in an area where major fires occurr, I was wondering if anybody in a fire area has had any experience with fire reatrdant gel.
I came across the site for Barricade, and it looks very interesting.

We don't use it in our district. I have seen video of Water tenders outfitted with deck guns, foaming schools and houses in prep for an approaching wildfire. These types of applications can be very effective, if the district has the money for equipment, and has the manpower available to use it.
