Never got much opportunity to use my 2320 last year, the motor bit (factory defect) the dust this summer but finally got some seat time with my 2320 last weekend. Moved 54 yards of gravel onto unimproved road, hauled a bunch of rock, and had a great time doing it. Fun little machine and a good companion for my 5203. Have an old 1850 Oliver I intend to get running and that should be a fairly rounded stable.

What factory defect are you speaking of?

The thing kept heating. JD foreman said it was blowing oil into the radiator. It heated from the outset. Took it in the first time--had a hole in the neck of the radiator and got a new radiator. Told them at the shop it still did not sound right to me--nevertheless I was sent home with 16 hours on it. I used it 9 more hours--constant heating--I would stop let it cool and start over. Finally would not start, the dealer came and picked it up, and JD bought a new motor. Probably should have tried to get new tractor altogether, but guess I am just easy.

For big items like an engine replacement, does the warrenty reset and start over? At least for the system that underwent the surgery?

Here's the scoop on the warranty you fellas asked me about: shop foreman said the new motor falls back on the original warranty when the tractor was purchased. The "implied" warranty is he said if I had anymore trouble "we will work with you on it". Now you all know that deal can be worth anywhere from something to nothing.

Don't have anything coming up any time soon for the 2320. Wanted to get some time in mowing but that will be spring for us.

Good info on the warranty. As we all know, it's all about how good your dealer is. Sounds like you've had a good experience so far with your dealer's service and let's hope it continues.

Yes, this dealer has been good. The mistake that I have made is that I should have bought this tractor in CUT country, not row crop country. I have land in both environments. These guys really did not know anything about the 2320. I just hope that a JD mechanic is a mechanic is a mechanic is a mechanic if you know what I am driving at.
