Finally ordered a new trailer

Thanks guys. No structure to put it under yet. I know the suns brutal on rubber. Any of you guys ever try RV style canvas wheel covers?

I use covers on my rv and dump trailer, they work very well. Get the individual tire covers as the two wheel covers tend to catch the wind and if you don't strap them down, a stout wind will send them to your neighbors (don't ask how I know this). I don't strap down the single wheel covers and have never had one blow off.

Good to know, I'm going to order a set, hopefully cheap insurance.

I ordered a new gooseneck trailer yesterday. The one I have is 10 years old, and has served me well, but I'm ready for a newer one with a few options that my old one doesn't have.

Here is a link to what I have ordered.

Top Hat Trailers - Online Catalog

I ordered a 28' with a 2' dovetail. Some of the other options are:
5' fold up ramps
Spring assist for ramps
Drive over fenders.
8'6" wide floor
Dual 10K jacks with locking tool box between the jacks.
14 ply rated tires and spare.

The dealer said it will be 4-5 weeks before it is delivered. I'll post pics when I get it.

Picked it up yesterday and went straight to work with it. Everything is as I wanted. I expected the dove tail to drop off a bit more than it does, but I think it will work for me.

I'll probably add a latch to the toolbox, so that I can lock it with a padlock. The lock on it is fine, but I'm afraid I will loose the key.

That is the smallest angle I have ever seen on a dove tail. Most I have seen are twice or three times that angle.
