I don’t see this as an LS issue. Do you have any idea how many brands have tractors manufactured by TYM? A dozen? Should they all be expected to have reciprocal warranty agreements?

LS also makes the Case IH compacts… Kukje the McCormick…. I’d never expect to have warranty service across brands

Well, since it hasn't been said, you should have purchased [My Favored Brand]. I've never seen such issues from [My Favored Brand]'s Equivalent Tractor; even if [My Favored Brand] had such problems, the dealer network is so vast that it surely covers your area. If there weren't 7 [My Favored Brand] dealerships within spitting distance of you I would not believe it.

In fact, one might say that I now dislike you on a personal level for having the audacity to purchase an [Alternative Brand]; you could have had [My Favored Brand].

Did I sum up a few of the eventual posts? 🤣

Pretty close, you forgot, "you shouldn't have a new tractor unless you put on the whopping 100hrs a year that I do" and "I'm glad you're not my neighbor because you sound like a nut".

Ha ha, the way people think... like you asked them to borrow money to buy/fix your tractor.

Glad the OP got it fixed, that should teach them to come on this site and rant or ask opinions, ;)

When the op bought this tractor he new the risk of what could happen at least regarding the only dealer for 300 miles. He probably saved more than $250 to make it worth it.
If he didn't then he has discovered it now.

Lots of reasons I chose this tractor over the other and it wasn't a $2K price difference either.
OP, I'm sorry for your trouble. That is never a good feeling to have after you have shelled out a lot of money for a piece of equipment. However, if you didn't get at least 2K in savings then you overpaid for it given the term risk that it carried. Risk is what most consumers never see or understand and yet it is the hidden reason why B manufacturers will give the big discount they do. The old adage is always true, "You get what you pay for."

This is why after looking at EVERY brand, I narrowed it down to NH or JD because dealers are everywhere. Nobody wants to haul a tractor on a 4 hour one way trip so effectively the other brands really don't have a warranty, even if they do on paper.
That's a solid point.
