Go figure, over the course of a few months I have been converting my truck to go DEF free... Now that the DEF is gone, by hand calculating, my I have gained 2mpg.... Was a pricy process but it is starting to pay off....

I would be willing to bet you gain more than that in the long run. And yes please tell us what truck and how?

It is a 2011 King Ranch. I had to install a programmer and after market exhaust. I used all HS performance parts.

With the changes you have made can you pass emissions testing?.....Gary

I'm guessing just the programmer blowing the NOx emissions programming from the computer got you the 2 mpg.

The most affective is to eliminate the DPF, stop the EGR and advance the timing. Mileage takes a serious jump.

As much as I'd love to do this, with the HPFP problems guys are reporting I don't want to give Ford any additional reasons to void my warranty. Once the warranty is up, I'll be doing that for sure.

Sounds great. Unless you got some serious pull at your local dealer, kiss your warranty good bye, if you care about that.

That would be my primary concern. I won't even put a 1.5" level kit on mine for that reason.

I am glad that my service manager steps up to the plate for me seeing his son is the one who did all the work. If I blew a head gasket I would not expect it to be warranted.... It goes in this week for a glow plug issue so I will be curious what my bill is.
